I had gotten this and was a bit stuck in beginning to use it. I thank you for the straightforward information. I think I will get my blog submitted now. Not sure why I need to change the name of my blog since it is what it is. I still thank you and this will get me farther than I did on my own. Great blog!

Good post, thanks for sharing. I always use Fast Directory Submitter for semi-automatic submissions to broadcast my sites

I do all my submissions at resellergo.com they have the best tool to submit your site to directories and they are about to launch an article directory submitter... those guys are very smart, and their script is unique.

Does this particular program get around the whole 'captcha situation'? I have never used a directory submission program, so I'm sure most of them find a way around it. I have always relied on self submission, but since these programs submit to so many in such a short time, maybe it's time to consider.

@yicrosoft:
You'll find that using this software is still a manual process. You go one directory at a time. So you do still have to fill out the captcha's yourself.

What's nice about this is that most of the forms get filled out automatically with your website title, description, email address etc.
It really does end up saving time and moving things along.

I tried these programs and they do work up to a point.
As with everything, there are ups and downs but this is free to try so it won't hurt to try and find out for yourself.
I guess the bad points could be that sometimes the sites they submit to are down so you get a broken link and every time you submit you have to find the right category to submit to, using a tiny dropdown box, not sure if this applies to this particular program.
But everything helps in getting traffic so by any means go for it, I just did.
Btw, if you are a half good writer, come submit an article at my site, if it's well written webmasters will pick it up and in no time it's all over the net. (and your resource box at the end of it will go wherever the article goes!).
good luck and never give up, whatever you do, do and see everything!
