Hello Moms!
Well another school year is starting. I wonder if many of you are in the same boat as me... getting the kids sleep schedule back to normal, picking out school clothes and watching the kids grow excited to be back in school with their friends.
This is the perfect time to look at our goals for the year. Work, Family and Personal. Some of you may have heard me mention that I'm a big fan of Tony Robbins. Tony has helped my husband and I achieve many of our goals and we often turn to him when we recognize areas of our lives that need improvement.
With school starting again we plan to begin a new cycle with Tony's 'Rapid Planning Management' program. Our main goal is to work less, but make more money. Sound good? I think so :-)
I strongly recommend Tony's products to help you achieve your own business and personal goals. Click here to Check him out.
One other quick mention... if you are a freelance writer - you might be interested in a teleseminar this Thursday with Kelly McCausey from WAHMTalkRadio.com and Nell Talierco of MommysPlace.net. They will be talking about how to make money as a Ghost Writer. Click here to find out about The Ghostwriting Success Teleseminar.

HOME BUSINESS TIP
Crafting is viable business! We often focus on administrative and technical job opportunites. I want to remind you that I believe it is what you are passionate about doing that is going to make you money.
If you have a craft that you love to do, think about how you can make money with it.
One idea that got me thinking spurred from a gift that a client and some colleagues sent to me to congratulate us on the birth of our daughter last month. It was a diaper cake! I had never seen one before and thought it was such a clever idea. A three tiered 'cake' of diapers, with little baby items like powder, pacifiers and other goodies tucked in.
I thought this would make a really neat home business for some of our more crafty Moms! Here's a good resource for you: MakeaDiaperCake.biz.
And speaking of Moms... check out how my very own Mom is making money from her love of knitting. She recently launched Knitting Haven and has experienced almost immediate success! If you're a knitter, you'll love the warm community she has created at 'The Parlor'. But even if you don't knit, check it out. It's a perfect example of taking what you love to do and making it your business.

Time Management Training: Organize Your Time With The Building Blocks of Productivity
By Denise Landers
What lessons you can learn from small children! One day I was watching two youngsters, ages 3 and 5, playing with “bricks” constructed out of heavy cardboard. The brick blocks came in three sizes: a 10” x 16” rectangle, a 10” square, and the standard 3” x 10” brick size. Over time they spent hours creating structures. At the beginning there was no understanding of larger pieces providing a stronger foundation for the smaller pieces and so things would come tumbling down without using all of the bricks. With lots of trial and error the children discovered that if they started with the biggest size, they were more likely to be able to use all of the bricks. Read full article
Virtual Assistant - Are You Making These Marketing Mistakes With Your Website
By Karen Fritscher-Porte
If you're a virtual assistant who has a website to help sell your business services, then that's what you should be pitching on your website: Your VA business services. Yet the websites of many virtual assistants do so much more than just pitch their VA services. And that's a mistake. Virtual assistants who try to do everything, be everything and sell everything with their website will chase prospective clients away.
