Hello Moms!
More and more women have been visiting the FreelanceMom forums looking for information on how to start a Virtual Assistant (VA) business. I want to welcome any of you who are interested in this type of business to join us in our discussions there.
Finding clients as a VA really isn't as overwhelming as you might think. One of the best ways to obtain clients is through networking. Join home business forums and engage in conversations there. In particular look for forums that are set up specifically for virtual assistants. The more you participate, engaging in intelligent conversation, and asking applicable questions - the more you will get to know other VA's.
Every VA that I know is often more then happy to give an upcoming Virtual Assistants some overflow work to get them started. So networking is key, and finding colleagues to mentor you into beginning your business is essential!
P.S. There is still a free advertising opportunity on top of the forum for anyone who has made a hurricane relief donation. Please contact me if you are interested.

I am so happy to tell you that we have a terrific designer, and moderator on FreelanceMom forums, Shelly Timmerman of The Dot Factor coming on board to contribute to the buttons and banner section. I have admired Shelly's design work from the day I first saw it. |
We're all really fortunate to have the opportunity to get the gorgeous and professional designs Shelly will be offering at such an affordable price!
Also stay tuned for website templates! We're brainstorming that now and hope to be adding them shortly :-) |
